Mine on Monday! Cypress TX Area Photographer

Happy Monday peeps! I know that seems like an oxymoron to most but I hope I can brighten up your day a bit. Since I feel the need to blog more, I am trying to fulfill that need. So Mondays will from here out be called… Mine on Monday. Just in case you aren’t sick of me yet. I would like to share my little ducklings with you.
It was a gorgeous day in Frecklesland Saturday. Lots of work was done on the yard and the kids were able to run around in shorts and short-sleeve shirts! It was fantastic! We had a picnic outside and I got my camera to capture all the action. I sure am glad I did. It seems we have snow in the forecast tomorrow SNOW!! It’s really crazy this weather… So for all of you that are still digging yourselves out of the snow from a month ago, this is for you… When your spring finally comes along in April and May, we will be most likely close to the triple digits temperature wise feel free to rub it in my face then ;)

NEWBORN GIVEAWAY CORRECTION!

I dont know how I ever expected anyone to enter this contest when I only allowed due dates from February to March. I know there are a ton of Pregnant ladies out there but really. So in my foggy haze this afternoon I miss typed. The eligable due days are between February 19th - May 19th.

You must be due between February 19th and MarchMay 19th. Session must be held before the baby reaches 10 days new. And a model release must be signed. Oh and you must be within the Houston/Cypress area. Sorry I can’t fly to Canada to take your baby’s pictures… though I would love to!!

Ten on Tuesday * Cypress TX Photographer*

I have decided to be a more active blogger. I used to blog (on my personal blog) sporadically. But I find that people lose interest if you don’t blog more frequently. So I am going to try to post at least 3 times a week. Some of these posts will be sneak peeks and some will be, depending on the weekday, all about me and my life and fun tips and useless information.
So today is Tuesday, And I couldn’t really think of any snazzy titles that went well with Tuesday, so hence the uncreative "ten on Tuesday" this is where I tell you 10 random things about myself, my family, my job. Love it or hate it... its me...

10. I love to eat my veggies (and I ll eat yours too)
9. I was a Flute toting band nerd in High School.
8. Back in my dangerous days, I used to race cars (legally) down the quarter mile.
7. I am a Libra and find that my signs meaning really does fit with my personality.
6. I am a tad OCD when it comes to Laundry. Pants must be folded with the crotch to the right... No exceptions!
5. Growing up I wanted to be a Forest Ranger.
4. The most beautiful place I have ever been is Evergreen Colorado. When we win the Lottery we will be relocating there... :D
3. Friends was (and still is) the best show on TV! They don’t make them like they used to.
2. Music is like the blood pumping through my veins! It moves me, figuratively and literally.
1. Orange is my favorite color. It makes me happy!

Cypress Area Photographer *Double The Fun*

A few months ago a good friend and I staged a "secret" photo shoot for her twin neices. We took them in the middle of the forest and watched them eat dirt and roll around... It was quite a beautiful time. I have a thing for babes in the woods. Check them out here and refresh your memory.
I was thrilled when those sweet girls mom gave me a call and asked me to shoot their first birthday party! I was stoked, to say the least!
I always love going to birthday parties. I love watching all the love that happens when you bring a large family together to celebrate! And this house was bursting at the seams with love!

Today is not only a new look for Freckles Fotography, it is also a very special birthday! One of my closest friends (and a Freckles blogged family) has just welcomed their sweet twins into the world. Please pray for this family as the babies were born 5 1/2 weeks early. Also pray for them to have an easy adjustment from party of 3 to party of 5! In honor of their big day.. here is the party of 3

Houston Maternity Photographer {Old Friend, New life}

Think back to 1999 if you will. Rock music was still at the top of the charts; I was loving my Metallica cd and loved all things Rock! Enter cute rock drummer, and my life was changed. The cute drummer (now my super awesome, still a rock star in my eyes, husband) was part of a rockin band that was destined to make it (in our eyes at least) The bass player, was a smooth talking, music lovin, leather pant wearing, stud of a man (His head is swelling right now while reading this, you may need to run for cover it may soon explode!)

He was always writing new songs, and learning old favorites. I remember I asked him to play me "a day in the life" by the Beatles on the piano... He did, and still will play Beatles for me when I am around. When I visited him on Saturday to photograph him and his gorgeous wife, he did it again, this time one of my all time favorite songs, "Blackbird" also by the Beatles (can you tell I am a bit of a Beatles fan)

It has been so amazing watching "N" grow from long haired, shirtless rocker, to soon to be father of 2 and the music has never left him!

I loved this session for so many reasons: 1. I got to spend time with an old friend and listen to awesome music and 2. I got to capture magic! and 3. Have you seen a more gorgeous pregnant woman??
